Victor Borisov Laviana (1958-)
Victor Borisov Laviana was born in Baku, Russia. In 1958 he moved with his mother to Spain, where they settled in Asturias. He studied art at the School of Arts and Crafts of Oviedo, expanding his knowledge of painting through contact with some painters of the region. In 1973 he moved to Copenhagen, but spent long periods on the island of Mallorca and visited Asturias every summer. His paintings have been exhibited in Oviedo, Manacor, Messina (Sicily), Venice, St Paul de Vence Copenhagen, Mineapolis, USA, Gijon and elsewhere. He has had solo exhibitions in the Foundation of Juan March in Palma de Mallorca and in the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias.
